After clicking on the little envelope in the top navigation bar you come to the Inbox of your messages.

You can send messages by clicking "Send a message" in the left sidebar - Please note that the system only allows you to send messages to participants/users that you have already contacted.

The names of your contacts are listed in alphabetical order. Just give your message a title, enter some content and send. Depending on the setting of the addressee, he or she is alerted through a system mail to the email address they have provided in their settings. If you visit the Leaders for Nature meshwork a new message will show as a changed message symbol in the top navigation bar. 

All the messages you have sent are kept in the "Sent messages" folder that you find on the left sidebar.
